BBQ

What you need

The star

I put the pork in a slow cooker on medium for about 6-8 hours.
The time really depends on the size of your pork.
You basically want it to fall apart when you try to take it out.

Once the pork is cooked, shred it into a large cooking pot.
This time I used the BBQ pulled pork seasoning.
Just follow the directions on the package and pour it over the pork.
Add the red wine vinegar, red pepper, salt, and pepper to taste.
I also add about 1 cup of the pork juice (not the fat) that was made while the pork was cooking.

Cook on low/medium heat about 30 minutes on the stove.
This allows the pork to soak up all those wonderful flavors you added.

Sometimes I just use different vinegars to flavor the pork, instead of the seasoning package.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on what is the best BBQ
(vinegar or ketchup based)

I like them all!

Hi Kristen. Thanks for joining us for Tempt My Tummy Tuesday. I am SO glad you posted this recipe. I saw this slow cooker packet, at the store and almost bought it. Now I wish I had. I will next time. Thanks!! It always helps to know that someone else has had success with something, first. I hope you keep coming back, for TMTT.

I've never made pork barbecue with vinegar. We've always just seasoned it with salt and pepper or Dale's Sauce. Interesting.

Your BBQ sounds so yummy. I'll have to try it. I have that same crockpot. It's my favorite of the four I own. I love using a crockpot.
